EVER.\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I originally posted this in October 2005 (!) but thought I should update it with some photos.\u00a0 Especially after <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dutchblitz.net\/my-weekend-part-1-what-sucks\/\" target=\"_blank\">the grief it added to my weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It really is worth all of the hassle, though.\u00a0 I promise.<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 pounds lean ground beef<br \/>\n1 onion, chopped<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil<br \/>\n1 teaspoon dried oregano<br \/>\n2 tablespoons brown sugar<br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons salt<br \/>\n1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes<br \/>\n2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste<br \/>\n12 dry lasagna noodles<br \/>\n2 eggs, beaten<br \/>\n1 pint part-skim ricotta cheese<br \/>\n1\/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese<br \/>\n2 tablespoons dried parsley<br \/>\n1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded<br \/>\n2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<\/p>\n<p>In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef, onion and garlic; drain fat.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Browned\" href=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4604small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4604small.jpg\" alt=\"Browned\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mix in basil, oregano, brown sugar, 1 1\/2 teaspoons salt.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Adding stuff\" href=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4606small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4606small.jpg\" alt=\"Adding stuff\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Add diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Simmering\" href=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4612small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4612small.jpg\" alt=\"Simmering\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles, and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, or until al dente; drain. Lay noodles flat on towels, and blot dry.<\/p>\n<p>In a medium bowl, mix together eggs, ricotta, Parmesan cheese, parsley and 1 teaspoon salt.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Mmmmm\u2026cheese.  And other stuff.\" href=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4609small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4609small.jpg\" alt=\"Mmmmm\u2026cheese.  And other stuff.\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Layer 1\/3 of the lasagna noodles in the bottom of a 9&#215;13 inch baking dish. Cover noodles with 1\/2 ricotta mixture, 1\/2 of the mozzarella cheese and 1\/3 of the sauce. Repeat. Top with remaining noodles and sauce. Sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese over the top.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Mmmmm\u2026lasagna.\" href=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4614small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/img_4614small.jpg\" alt=\"Mmmmm\u2026lasagna.\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes.
