I cracked out this recipe due to the ground flaxseed.<\/p>\n<p>The kids LOVE them.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Bars\" href=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/img_8869wmsm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchblitz.net\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/img_8869wmsm.jpg\" alt=\"Bars\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<\/p>\n<p>1 cup packed brown sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 cup butter or margarine<br \/>\n1\/2 c. sugar<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. honey or molasses<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n1 c. flour (You could use all whole wheat &#8211; I do)<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. baking soda<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1 1\/4 cup rice krispies<br \/>\n1 cip ground flax seed or coconut (of course I use flax seed, stay near<br \/>\na washroom)<br \/>\n1\/2 or 1 c. chocolate chips (or raisins, cranraisins etc.)  I did 1\/2 cup chocolate chips<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cup rolled oats<\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<\/p>\n<p>1. Preheat oven to 350<br \/>\n2. Beat B.sugar, sugar and butter<br \/>\n3. Blend in molasses, vanilla and egg<br \/>\n4. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt<br \/>\n5. Add to other mixture<br \/>\n6. Stir in remaining ingredients<br \/>\n7. Press firmly in a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 20 -25 minutes<br \/>\n8.
