Great Guacamole

Great Guacamole

INGREDIENTS: 2 ripe avacados

1/2 lime Generous pinches of ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt.

1/4 small red onion (Optional if onions give you gas. They give Honey SERIOUS GAS.)

2 roasted red peppers

1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil or coriander ( I like coriander)

1/2 cup sour cream

DIRECTIONS: Mash avacados (sans peels and pits), but leave it chunky. Add everything else, and mix.

Try not to slather it all over your body.

  1. I just came to the conclusion recently that I might actually like avocadoes. I may have to try this recipe… it sounds really good.

  2. Oh my word, that looks SO good. I’m going to have to try that!

  3. Just to help, cause’ Im a know it all chef and such….corriander is also known as cilantro. Corriander is actually the seed that grows into cilantro, the seed is more lemony tasting than the fresh herb. Cilantro is often called corriander though…..I never thought of using roasted red peppers, that is a fantastic idea, little smokyness.

  4. PS- I LOVE the bowl.

  5. I’ve made this twice (in one week) so far and I have to say I’m in love. I added half a chipotle in adobo sauce to each batch to give it a little kick. I think I will be making this quite often. 🙂 Thanks Angella.

  6. Exactly, few people realize that sour cream is the trick. I sometimes like to add fresh garlic (pressed) for an extra kick. I am definitely making some this weekend now! Thanks for the link!
