Peanut Butter Cookies

INGREDIENTS

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

DIRECTIONS

Cream sugars, margarine and then add eggs and peanut butter. Add dry ingredients last. Drop by Tbsp. onto an ungreased pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 min. or less….do not overcook so they remain chewy.

  2. I’m craving some cookies and my husband loves peanut butter, so I’m going to make these tonight! I’m low on margarine, though, so I’m going to try them out with vegetable shortening instead. We’ll see how they turn out…I’ll leave another comment to let you know!!

  3. I made the cookies and they are yummy! I remember PB cookies from my childhood tasting peanuttier, though. Maybe it’s my cheap grocery-store PB that made it taste not very peanutty.

    All in all, an excellent recipe. The cookies are moist and tender, with just the right amount of chewiness. Awesome!
